Tlingit & Haida manage several Head Start Centers. The eligibility requirements are that the child must turn 3 on or before September 1st, an application must be submitted with the following documentation: Childs current immunization record and tuberculosis test results(http://www.ccthita.org/services/family/headstart/documents/TB%20SCREENING%20ASSESSMENT%20FORM.pdf); Childs physical exam or date scheduled(http://www.ccthita.org/services/family/headstart/documents/Form%2013%2001%20(c)%203-5%20Physical%20Exam%20and%20Health%20Screening%20Form.pdf); Childs dental exam or date scheduled(http://www.ccthita.org/services/family/headstart/documents/Form%2013%2001%20(e)%20Dental%20Exam.pdf); Income verification. We serve the communities of Angoon, Craig, Hoonah, Juneau, Klawock, Petersburg, Saxman, Sitka, Wrangell, and Yakutat. We accept applications year round. However, it is our goal to be fully enrolled by the first day of school in the communities we serve. Usually that is the day after Labor Day.
